Did You Know?  Legend has it, 1956-57 Pitt graduate, Eugene Cercone had a monster collision during a game with Syracuse Legend & NFL Great, Jim Brown.  Eugene went to the hospital following the game to get treated for a broken nose.  The nurse there not only treated his broken nose, but she later went on to marry him.  How is that relevant to the Funk-Mob Classy Classic?  Well, years later, Mrs. Cercone went on to give birth to Greg Cercone.  Greg is now the best shooting instructor in Western, PA.  He also was an Ambassador to the Cuban Giants (3-Time World Champions of the Funk-Mob Classy Classic).  Coach Cercone would bring legends to ALXN ARENA to tryout for Cuba in the early 2000's in the likes of Wayne Copeland & Andy Wormsley.  To this, we honor today, Mr. Eugene Cercone #24 with this beautiful Pitt Panthers Retro Warmup.  Salute!
